OUGD602 - SB01 - Aims for Branding

What will a successful personal brand achieve for me?

In creating a successful personal brand, I hope to develop an audience of engaged individuals to compound into increased awareness of my work through the use of social media and word of mouth marketing. A large portion of work in the design industry comes through referral, so developing a repertoire with the design communities on the many social medias will be imperative to becoming successful in the digital age. 

I also hope to become a sought-after designer by companies through the creation of innovative work that challenges as well as sets new boundaries in the world of design. As an avid fan of independent music events, I would hope to be able to show a level of creativity that is required in events and to create not only graphic design but experiential design that successfully communicates whatever may be needed in a project.

I would like to be able to develop a memorable visual identity that correctly conveys who I am as a designer, but also demonstrates my ability to adapt to new environments or needs. The idea is not to specifically market myself to one field or type of studio, but to market myself as an invaluable asset to anyone who may need my services.
